The band Tucson Rain was formed by Birmingham, Alabama musician Elizabeth Murray in 2024 to capture and celebrate the musical legacy of Linda Ronstadt, whose life work includes four decades of immense success in multiple genres. Elizabeth gathered the best musicians in the area who, collectively, have clocked decades of experience on the stage honing their craft. They share a love and respect for Linda Ronstadt’s body of music, which is rich, varied, and complex.
In the city of Tucson, Arizona, situated in the Sonoran Desert, a miraculous thing happens during the summer, it rains. In 1946 - in that desert city – Linda Ronstadt was born during a cloudburst of one of those rare and precious rains. She went on to become the most celebrated and most successful musician of her generation earning 11 Grammy awards, two Country Music Association awards, an ALMA (American Latino Media Arts) award, and an induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. She proved to be a rare talent indeed – as rare as the rain in Tucson.
We have put together a show that includes Linda Ronstadt's most beloved hits including “When Will I Be Loved,” “Blue Bayou,” “You’re No Good,” and “Long, Long Time.” With tight harmonies, steel guitar, piano, electric and acoustic guitars and a rhythm section that can handle her rock hits, this show has a little bit for anyone who loves music. Come see this show and rekindle your love for the beautiful and talented Linda Ronstadt.
